We’ve partnered with THE New Parent Company to launch SPECIAL Mum and Baby Pilates and PosTNatal guidance classes!

During this 6-week course, we’ll take you on a journey, helping to build your bond and your body!

Each week, we’ll help you navigate through your ‘final Trimester’ with:

  • A 40 minute Reformer Pilates class with Demi*

  • A 40 minute Postnatal guidance session covering a different topic each week

  • 13:30 – 15:00 Every Wednesday

*Please check with your Doctor before engaging in any physical activity. You will need to have your 6 week sign off before being accepted onto the course. During Pilates sessions, your baby can enjoy the lights and soothing music next to you in the comfort of their baby carrier. Learn and grow together with our warm down and Postnatal guidance sessions which are completed together. Please ask the team for more information.

WEEK 1: SLEEP

Our first class helps you to understand the physiology of your baby’s sleep. The hows, whys and everything in between! We take a gentle, holistic approach to sleep, allowing you to feel happy and confident in the choices you make, and give you the tools to adapt your environment, schedule and sleeping aids. This class also includes a reflexology session for your baby.

WEEK 2: NURTURE

In this session, we will discuss ways in which you can feel nurtured and nourished during your postpartum journey. We provide you with tips on how to optimise your rest, postpartum nutrition and how to find time to practice mindfulness. We also take a look at journaling as a practical focus in navigating your transition into parenthood.

WEEK 3: FEED

We want you to feel confident about how you choose to feed your baby. Whether it’s breastfeeding, formula, expressing, or a combination, we’ll help you both feel comfortable. Visual, hands-on support is invaluable - so bring all the questions! We include a mini baby massage focusing on the tummy to help aid trapped wind and symptoms of colic or reflux.

WEEK 4: YOU

This session encourages discussion and talks through the recovery process after a vaginal or cesarean birth. We talk about embracing our new bodies and open up about the embarrassing things too! We also talk about emotions and hormones such as Postnatal feelings, PTSD, trauma, identity loss, intrusive thoughts, anxiety, stress and Postnatal rage. You can chose to listen, or share in this safe, supportive space.

WEEK 5: RELATIONSHIPS

Our penaltimate session delves further into relationships, self-identity, compassion, Postnatal feelings, sex, connection and relationships. This follows on from the previous week and allows for a deeper connection with your baby, yourself and the others around you in a supportive environment. Having a baby Is a big adjustment, it's good to open up and bond with other new parents to feel connected and not alone.

WEEK 6: PLAY

We end our 6-week course with a bit of fun for you and your babies! We share the developmental milestones of your baby in the first 6 months and provide ideas on how to support them through play activities you can do at home. This class will include a mini baby massage and sensory session for your babies - the perfect way to complete your time with us.

DEMI - PILATES INSTRUCTOR

Demi trained professionally as a dancer. Coming from a personal struggle with a knee injury, Demi turned to Pilates to keep her strong and shares her learnings giving exceptional technique and rehabilitation through the power of structure movement.

With this experience, Demi is kind, patient and nuturing to her participants. Demi is a firm favourite with members and a class with her is enchanting, energising and effective. Whether you’re a beginner or a Pilates pro, you can feel confident that Demi will develop you to the best of your ability.

Demi is a Pre and Postnatal Pilates specialist who has been working individually with Mums during 1:1 Reformer classes at X-Club for 2 years. She’s excited to bring this community together and help build bodies and confidence along the way.

ADELINE - Postnatal Specialist

The New Parent Company offers a unique journey designed to support you and your baby in early months with practical, informed guidance tailored to your individual circumstances. Sessions focus on four pillars - Sleep - Feed - You - Play, delivered by Adeline, a Postnatal Specialist. Adeline is a Maternity Nurse and postpartum doula with a Diploma in Early Years, accreditations in Newborn and Postnatal Care, and experience as a Nanny, Newborn Specialist, and Play Therapist. Since becoming a mother in 2016, Adeline recognised a gap in Postnatal support and education for new parents. She found the whole experience isolating and had no one to talk to about her experiences. These classes are the perfect way for you and your baby to learn and grow together, to build the foundations of new relationships and to help you navigate matrescence. Adeline also adds tricks and tools, including baby massage and reflexology, mindfulness and journaling, making classes fun and engaging from start to finish.
